Purpose

The purpose of an operating system is to manage the computers hardware and the software resources and provide services for the programs. Also other than this the operating system also does things such as allowing the user to save files to a backing store and provides you with the a specific user interface all depending on what OS you have.Windows,LINUX and Mac OS all have their own unique user interface and different functions to be used.
